Whole Foods' 365 Everyday Value Organic Pasta and Marinara Sauces are comparable in quality to more expensive, name-brand organic pasta and marinara sauces such as Muir Glen. They are superior in quality to organic pasta sauces such as Ragu and Prego that are available in regular grocery stores. Overall, these organic sauces are an excellent value and well worth the price.
Whole Foods' 365 Everyday Value Organic Pasta and Marinara Sauces cost around $2.79 per jar. The Ragu and Prego organic pasta sauces sold for between $1.98 and $2.19 per jar. However, whereas Ragu and Prego were both very thin and runny. Ragu, in particular, lacked texture. Whole Foods' 365 Everyday Organic Pasta and Marinara Sauces by comparison are much more hearty and satisfying.
Whole Foods' 365 Everyday Value Organic Pasta and Marinara Sauces are available in Mushroom, Eggplant, Tomato and Basil, and Italian Herb. Italian Herb was the lowest in calories, weighing in at a measly 40 calories per serving. However the Tomato Basil seemed by far to be the healthiest and most nutritious. I love to have Whole Foods' 365 Everyday Value Organic Pasta and Marinara Sauces with 365 Everyday Value organic whole wheat pasta, 365 Everyday Value organic frozen vegetables, and 365 Everyday Value organic olive oil. This makes a delicious, nutritious, 100% organic meal which is very inexpensive to prepare, and makes tons of leftovers for lunches and nights when you don't feel like cooking. It's a great kid pleaser and is fun for the whole family.
The selection of 365 Everyday Value Organic Whole Wheat is slightly limited; there is penne rigate, fusilli, spaghetti and linguine. I love them all, but I typically use the spaghetti and linguine on a regular basis, and save the other shapes for special occasions. There is also a 365 Everyday Value Organic white pasta, but I won't touch it with a ten foot pole.
