I just saw a very large Iittala Dahlström Tools Ceramic-Coated Wok (Finland) with a glass cover on sale for $99 in a warehouse sale, supposedly less than half price. I like the Iittala Dahlström Tools in the stainless steel line but have never heard of ceramic coated cookware. I can't find this particular product (with glass lid) in the products list in the Iittala web listing. Must be discontinued.

I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about - I LOVE my wok!! If you follow the directions for care that come with it, you should have NO problems. I use mine for many other things besides stir-fry dishes - I deep fry and use it like a skillet also. It heats up quickly and evenly, it's easy to clean and the tools that come with it are nice, except I don't really use the long chopstick ones. My fried chicken comes out better than I ever made it before when I fry it in this wok. And you can't beat the price! This wok is well made and easy to clean (follow the instructions!!) - I HIGHLY recommend it.

Our wok came as a gift from one of our Chinese students in this country. An essential tool for Chinese cooking, you will use it often for a number of dishes. Chopsticks, longer ones than used for eating are used to stir and work on ingredients in the wok. Especially if you use Teflon you must use wooden tools in the wok. The wok should be large enough to make enough for the size of participants you would have at your dinner. Also it helps to have a lid to put on the top for cooking some dishes.
