Well it's going on for half past midnight, I've been working hard all day and so I'm Cream Crackered! Wow, look how famous these are! You can even use them to describe how shattered you are! Cream crackers, or more specifically, Jacob's cream crackers are one of the most famous table biscuits there are. Jacobs has been going since 1885, and these have long been one of their biggest products. They do make several other products now but they have never been able to match the success of the humble cream cracker.
Jacobs Biscuits for Cheese come in a 200g box containing 6 cracker varieties. Cream Crackers, Cheddars, Choice Grain, Water Biscuits, Digestives and Savours, salt and black pepper bakes. Sounds great doesni’t it, until you open the box. Each biscuit is sectioned off into a plastic mould which takes up most of the space in the box. Each segment looks to have quite a few biscuits packed into it, however on close inspection you see that the moulded sections are also padded out so you end up with very few biscuits per section.
If I was going to buy biscuits for cheese in the future, I would not buy Jacobs Biscuits for Cheese, selection box, although the quality is good and a selection of 6 different types of biscuit is good in one box, I feel the quantity I receive for my money is poor. I bought my box on offer for £1.47 but the normal price is much more than this.
It would appear all Ib’m paying for is the fancy packaging and not the biscuits. In future I will be buying a packet of the same biscuits and not a selection box. I wouldna’t recommend people to buy Jacobs Biscuits for Cheese 200g box as I feel it is a bit of a rip off. Quality of biscuits good, quantity of biscuits poor.
