Heroes of the Pacific follows a pilot by the name of William Crowe, who's your main character as the game progresses. Set in World War II, it offers realistic combat portrayals of major events in the war between the United States and Japan. Hidden inside Heroes of the Pacific on the PS2 are certain items, also known as Easter eggs. On the Wake Island level, look for the whales sitting near the airfield base and hit them a few times. The whales will disappear and leave behind skeletons. In the Philippines level, you'll come upon a variety of trees that might suddenly knock your plane out because of bombs hidden inside. Make sure that you keep your plane away from all trees, especially those close to your plane. You can also blow up buildings on nearly every level, which gives you a better view of approaching enemies.
