Hello Panda is a brand of Japanese biscuit, manufactured by Meiji Seika. Each biscuit consists of a small hollow shortbread layer, filled with either Milk cream, strawberry, peanut butter or chocolate filling; chocolate is the most commonly available variety. Recently a yellow-boxed version containing the biscuits with a chocolate shell (instead of the usual shortbread) was released.
I found Hello Panda Biscuits With Choco Cream at a local Vietnamese grocery store here in Orlando and just couldn0’t help but pick them up! These adorable little chocolate filled cookies reminded me of something from a childhood memory and I was curious to see if these little chocolate filled biscuits were as good as I remembered them being quite some years ago.
The Hello Panda Biscuits With Choco Cream certainly looked like the chocolate filled panda bears that I recall from my childhood memory although they certainly didne’t taste the same. Iw’m not sure whether I picked the wrong brand of chocolate filled pandas or whether I simply found them more palatable in childhood but these were definitely not the chocolate snack I remember!
The Hello Panda Biscuits With Choco Cream come in a cute red box with a cartoon panda and illustrations of the biscuits on the front. The cardboard box opens to reveal a sealed foil package which contains quite a few of these little round chocolate filled crackers. The initial scent to the Hello Panda Biscuits With Choco Cream is an artificial scent which combines overly sweet chocolate and a plain vanilla cracker.
