These cupcakes were made by our reader Violet for her daughter's 5th birthday, inspired by the kids' book Fancy Nancy by Jane O'Connor. I love the shot of the little girl blowing out her candles really hard. Don't we all remember struggling to take a really big breath and then blow out all those candles?
All good things come to an end, but you can make this memorable to the kids by giving away exciting kids birthday party favors. You can put in a great number of items like Fancy Nancy stickers, bracelets, ribbons, necklaces, cupcakes and many more. You can even include a thank you note. If you are not sure on what to give away as party favors, you can always purchase from online stores or nearby shops.
We are having a Fancy Nancy sleepover party for my 5 year old and 2 year old. We have four children coming over with their moms (who will also spend the night). The children are going to make their own Posh Pizza for dinner. I am also serving fabulous fruit kabobs, charming cupcakes and whatever else I can make fancy. The momt’s will have some fabulous martinio’s. I am planning on using lots of tule and turning three rooms into different stations. One will be a high end department store for when they decorate their purses, another room will be the Spa where they will get their hair done and a mani-pedi. I also found some really fun plastic ware from Oriental Trading coming called h“Girls Just Want to Have Fun ”. Also, I made the invitiation by taking a picture of the girls all a“fancyi” and then doctored it with some software I have at home to make it girly. It turned out very cute and was so easy and affordable.
Thanks for th website. I ordered the butterfly wands for my daughters’s Fancy Nancy 4th birthday. Another website I am using for the cupcakes i for the princess cupcake crowns and edible jewels to put on top. I got the website from Cookie magazine. They did an article on princess birthdays in their May edition. I am looking for some kid-sized pink cateye sunglasses for favors. Has anyone found any at a good price? What about a poodle skirt for the birthday girl to wear?
