The delightful, red, three-year-old from Sesame Street is back! Elmo takes his friends on a wild adventure to see what life was like in the wild, wild, west. Join Elmo, his pet goldfish, Dorothy, Mr. Noodle and his family, an array of Sesame Street friends, and special guest Travis Tritt (country music star) as they explore how cowboys ride horses, the story of Pecos Bill, and take a ride in a magical stagecoach.

Elmo engages toddlers and preschoolers with ease, as he continuingly asks for his viewers' feedback. Children count along with stomping horses, sing the Wild Wild West song, and try to help Elmo teach the Noodle family to ride a horse. A country music fan myself, I particularly enjoy watching Travis Tritt sing the story of Pecos Bill, the rootin' tootin'—est cowboy of them all.

Elmo's World: The Wild Wild West is a 2001 Sesame Street direct-to-video special -- a one-hour episode of Elmo's World in which Elmo and Dorothy learn about the Old West. The special includes guest appearances by Marshal Grover, the Noodle Family, the Twiddlebugs and country singer guest star Travis Tritt. It was released the same day as the September 11th Terrorist Attacks.

Elmo joins a handful of popular Sesame Street characters for an exciting adventure to the Wild Wild West. Elmo learns first-hand what it takes to be a real cowboy or cowgirl. First he saddles up a horse and learns all the basics of riding. Next, he hits the dance floor for some good ole country square dancing. The video features special guest appearances by Broadway singing sensation Kristen Chenowerth and country music star Travis Tritt. Parents can continue to count on Sesame Street for consistently entertaining and educational programming.
