dune 3.0

Official HDI Dune Message:Previously, Dune 3.0 media players supported only the standard set of possibilites for working with filesystems provided by the underlying Linux-based Sigma Designs 864x platform: read-write support for FAT, EXT2, EXT3 filesystems, and read-only support for NTFS filesystems. After inclusion of the new driver, it will become possible to both read and write data to all these filesystems.

This will make it possible to use NTFS hard drives for many operations which were previously impossible, e.g.:- Attach an NTFS HDD to Dune 3.0 unit and directly copy/move/delete/organize files and folders on it using a TV and remote control.- Attach an NTFS HDD to Dune 3.0 unit and copy files to it from a PC using SMB or FTP protocols.- Record IPTV channeks (in future: Internet Radio, DVB-T, and other kinds of audio/video materials) to an NTFS HDD attached to Dune 3.0 unit.- Download torrents (using torrent client built-in into Dune) to an NTFS HDD attached to Dune 3.0 unit.

I am trying to connect Dune3.0 to my laptop using Ext2 volume manager, which I understand will help recognise the HDD on Dune, so I can transfer my files quickly...however it doesn't seem to recognise the HDD on Dune? What am I doing wrong? I have turned off Dune, coonnected to Laptop and then switched on, and vice versa-but somehow it just won't recognise the HDD on windowsHelp pleaseSD

I previously had my internal HDD in another player (PlayOn HD) and have now put it inside the Dune Base 3.0 It recognises the disk and all my files, but I can't make any changes to the disk, I guess due to permissions the PlayOn put on the files (it says I need to be 'root'). I decided to reformat using the Dune, but I get the error 'error unmounting filesystem'. Could be due to the same permission restrictions? How can I get around this besides hooking up the HDD to a PC and formatting it that way?
