Hi Everyone!  I am Susan Crabtree  from Poca Cosas.  For my guest post, I would like to feature my soni’s 12th birthday Wii Tournament.   The tournament consisted of 8 boys, divided into 4 teams of two players each.  Upon arrival, the athletes checked in with a tournament official (A.K.A. my husband & I).  They read & signed our players agreement & were give their team assignments.  Each participant was given a tournament shirt, team pass, & event schedule.   The tournament consisted of 8 separate events with two seperate Wii a”arenasb”.  The winner from each group played each other for the championship.  For prizes, we handed out movie sized candy wrapped in Wii style to all the winners.   We also had Wii-kendWarrior Kits for all the players which included custom water bottles for all the athletes.    The boys had a Wii-cked good time & was a super fun & easy party to host!

Typically, Wii parties should be hosted for kids ages 7 and older. However, some kids play games on the Wii at an earlier age and may be able to handle it. Keep in mind that not all the kids coming to the birthday party will have experience playing it, and it might exclude some kids from some activities. You might want to hold a how-to session at the beginning of the party so everyone understands how to play and operate the remote. Remind them that the wrist band on the controller should be safely attached at all times during the game. This will prevent remotes from flying out of their hands and potentially hitting someone else.
