With a diameter not much larger than a silver dollar and a single propeller on the bottom, the MicroFly somehow manages to hover in the air as it spins and flashes its LEDs. The simple slider control allows only up-and down movement... but this makes it so easy to fly that anyone can instantly control it.They use the same channel so you can control multiple MicroFly units from one transmitter to create your own buzzing alien insect swarm.
I had the opportunity to play with an Alien Microfly flying saucer a couple of weeks ago and I HAD to have one. This is an very nicely designed version of the ubiquitous flysaucers that have been around for a while. It is about 1/6 the size of the previous saucers and is IR controlled. It actually flies around the living room pretty well! It seems to be pretty robust. It has survived both my five your old daughters
The Alien Microfly is just that, a small alien ship that you fly. This is minature size indoor UFO, with a built in rechargable battery. Also a charger built into the transmittor. It requires 6 AA batteries that make for a long flight duration. Super light weight, and for ages 8+, the alien microflyer takes off vertically like a helicopter. When airborne the stabilization system keeps it hovering horizontally. If you crash the microflyer the power safety cut-off will somtimes trip , and shut it off. We have enjoyed playing with this and the only problem we have found is sometimes the feet of the ship come off, causing it not to want to fly. It tends to have a mind of its own, and you don
You gotta love toys you can just pick up and play with. The instructions w– what instructions! The R/C Alien Microfly UFO is no more then a balance weight, box cutter knifed Styrofoam and propeller. So, ya, my initial reaction was far from impressed. Worse yet, I had to stuff 6 AA batteries into the remote, which doubles as a charger. Sorry, no rechargeable batteries included. With apprehension, and an almost virtual guarantee that my review of the R/C Alien Microfly UFO would be negative, I set in for lift off.
