I just bought the Polk Momo MCC 525 speakers for the dash and the Polk Momo MMC 460 speakers for the roll bar in my Jeep Wrangler. I had a friend of mine put them in for fear that i would mess it up. The front speakers sound crisp and amazing, however the speakers in the Roll bar sounds extremely muffled even when i turn the fade all the way to the back. My friend who put them in said this is because I need an amplifier? Is this true? Why is this the case? And can any one suggest a good amp that wont take up to much space in my Jeep, while complimenting the Polk's I just put in and really kick up the speakers in the Roll Bar?
My experience has been that the Jeep Wrangler's have the 5-1/4 speakers in the roll bar and the 4 x 6 speakers in the dash. If this is the case, then you might try swiveling the tweeters so they point towards you. If you truly do have the 4 x 6 speakers in the roll bar, then you might want to check our fit guide and see if you can step up to the 5-1/4 speakers in the roll bar so that you can get the swivel tweeter. I hope this helps!
