After a long long wait, Nokia has launched its dual – SIM handsets Nokia C1 (C1-00) and Nokia C2 (C2-00) in India. This launch has set Nokia in India’s dual-SIM handset market which is currently lead by local players. With these handsets, Nokia C1 (C1-00) and Nokia C2 (C2-00), Nokia has also tried to provide another cheaper option for Indian customers.
While, the price of Nokia C2 has not been announced yet. Nokia C2 supports dual SIM standby,y Ovi Life Tools and Ovi Mail, microSD card up to 32 GB. Nokia c2 runs on S40 platform and offers features like Bluetooth, USB 2.0, GPRS, VGA Camera etc. The expected price of Nokia C2 is around INR 3000. Launch of Nokia C1 and C2 is Nokia’s another attempt to attract low-priced handset customers in India.

The main draw to the Nokia C2 is obviously the dual SIM functionality. The Nokia C2 can keep both SIM cards active; meaning calls and text messages can come to either number while the phone is on. The first SIM card on the Nokia C2 sits underneath the battery. The second SIM card is ‘hot-swappable’, a feature unique to Nokia, meaning it can be removed and inserted when the phone is on. As we mentioned previously, dual-SIM has been a hot topic here on Conversations and the fact that the Nokia C2 will allow you to answer one call and keep the other on hold is great news.
