the big cookie

Allrecipes has a giant chocolate chip cookie that I have made twice now: once in a pizza pan and once as two giant 9x″ rounds (the biggest cookie whoopie pie). The only problem that it nearly overflowed my pizza pan, which makes a heart shaped pan probably too small. It looks so good though that I think I have to go for it!

There are many types of Big Top Cookies that you can make and we have decided to make the chocolate chip with the mint chip ice filling. Each mold is rubbery but has a silicone layer on it so even though it's rubber you can put it in the oven. You are just not supposed to exceed 464 degrees. You are only supposed to use pre-made cookie mix in these molds. You are not supposed make your own and put it in there.

Ok, we have our molds filled. Now, we just turn on our oven to 350 degrees and pop it in for about 35 minutes. I think we have big cookies looking awfully good. Now, you're supposed to put them on a wire screen. It's cool to the touch on the rubber and you let it set about a half an hour. Perhaps you'll want to put them in the refrigerator for an hour or so to firm them up before you take them out of the mold. Just flip it over like so and be somewhat gingerly when you remove the mold. Let's see how this turns out. Hey, we got a cookie on one side. Before we put the other side of the cookie, the top on, we get to fill it with the mint chip ice cream.
