Anna grew up in Lancashire, England before emigrating in 1973 to Australia. She has published historical sagas and romances, modern novels and SF/F. As of December 2010 she has published 51 novels, most under the Anna Jacobs name and a few under two different names - Shannah Jay (SF/F), Sherry-Anne Jacobs (non-fiction and one historical romance).
Anna is an on-staff Artist Resource Consultant at the Metropolitan Opera Guild. She received her M.F.A. from NYUkrs"s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, her B.M. (Honors I) from the University of Sydney, and also studied composition at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She'rs"s a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and is represented by Jack Tantleff at Paradigm Talent Agency.
Anna Jacobs grew up in Lancashire and emigrated to Australia in 1973, but loves to return to England regularly to visit her family and soak up the history. She has two grown-up daughters and now lives with her husband in a spacious waterfront home. Often as she writes, dolphins frolic outside the window of her study. Inside, the house is crammed with thousands of books.
